Instead of these high calorie foods choose foods that are healthy and balanced since these are the ones that will provide the body with the nutrients that need for growth, development and maintenance. When you control your diet it will be easy to keep your weight under control.

  3. Get into the habit of walking
  4. Walking is the easiest way to keep your weight under control. Aerobic exercises such as walking boost the metabolism and help the body burn calories. In order to achieve the best results you should walk for at least thirty minutes every day.

  5. Drink plenty of water
  6. Most people do not get enough water, and this not only causes weight gain but also causes fluid retention. The body needs fresh water in order to flush out the old, stale water that has accumulated. You should drink at least sixty four ounces of water every day.

  7. Work around the house
  8. Getting involved in household chores can help you burn calories and help you keep your weight under control. Do not pass off the work to others when you can do it yourself and lose weight. Even if you are not overweight doing house and garden work will help you keep your weight in control.

  9. Eat fruits
  10. Instead of high calorie desserts get into the habit of eating fruits when you are hungry in between meals. You can also serve fruits for desserts instead of baking a cake, cookies or other high calorie sweets. You will be able to lose weight and keep it under control once you train yourself to eat more fruits and less cake, cookies, candy and other unhealthy sweets.

Following the above steps will not give you the results you seek right away. It will take several months before you see any results, but you will look and feel better. In addition, your body will be getting something it can use for nutrition instead of empty calories.
